Green Growth for Sustainable Progress!

Green4Ward Cross River is a climate-smart development initiative created to activate statewide eco-citizens to accelerate community-based low-carbon impact investment programs that profit both the people and the planet.

This initiative is designed to deploy real-time intergenerational green growth mechanisms that drive net-zero, climate-positive opportunities through people-centric, market-driven eco-policy impact platforms, to guarantee the first bankable circular economy and fiscal efficiency strategy for sustainable development in Cross River State.

Green4Ward Cross River prioritizes and amplifies citizen-driven climate action as the most scalable approach to ensuring low-carbon, resource-efficient, and socially inclusive economies.

The program prioritizes the health of the planet and of the people and regards these as interlinked. It also brings attention to the fact that the green economy is interconnected with the circular economy, encouraging the need for a shift to reduce the consumption of natural resources to sustainable levels. An inclusive economy incorporates and embraces modern models of economic development whose objective is to create prosperity within planetary boundaries.

Green4Ward Cross River focuses on three major aspects of green economy development, environmental responsiveness, resource efficiency, as well as community and cultural sensitivity.

The Green4Ward! Cross River initiative is powered by a social action sustainable impact mobility marketplace strategy that engages, educates, empowers, and employs over 180,000 young, resourceful eco-citizens across 18 LGAs with eco-marshall jobs.

It incentivizes 1.8 million eco-volunteers, awards 18,000 eco-innovation grants, and launches 18 eco-tourism and heritage festivals, while securing rural energy efficiency solutions through sustainability investment partnerships that promote climate justice, ensure climate finance, and support ecosystem conservation in Cross River State.
